To configure the default address login to your cPanel

Reach within the “Mail” category and click on “Default Address”

Configure default address that will going to “catch” emails sent to some invalid email of your domain. It is also known as misrouted or misaddressed email.

Discard with error to sender (at SMTP time): The option will enable you to send bounce back email to the misrouted email sender with specified error message it may be an error or failure message

Forward to email address: Provides you a simple one step process of setting up a forward email to receive all these misaddressed or misrouted emails. Make sure that the forward email you set will going to receive huge quantity of unwanted emails

Click on “Advance Options” to find additional setting option.

Pipe to a program: Is your option to send emails to an executable script of your choice.

Discard: Check this option if you don’t want a bounce back email to be sent to the sender of misaddressed or misrouted email. However it is not recommended to check this option, keep it uncheck and let the sender of misrouted email receive a bounce back email.

Click “Change” to save and apply the changes
